As many of u guys dont know how to flash ur phone using offline firmware package. so i decided to make a new thread in which u can learn how to upgrade ur firmware using phoenix. here r the steps
Steps in Unbricking or Upgrading/Reflashing the Firmware Manually
1. Install Phoenix_from here
Download here: Guide: how to upgrade your firmware using Phoenix - BiNPDA FORUM
http://www.youngistaan.me/forum/pc-zone/2664-new-phoenix-service-software-2009-4-12-37934-a.html?highlight=phoenix
2. Install RM-356EMEA or RM-356 APAC (your choice, APAC have southeast asia support, emea is for europe)
3. Start Phoenix, connect the USB cable Phone to PC in PC SUite Mode.
4. Click on File -> Manage Connections -> New -> click USB -> Next -> Finish -> leave USB on top of No Connection -> click Apply and then Close
5. Click File then Scan Product , then Flashing -> Firmware Update
(if your unit did not show up, try clicking on File > Open Product > RM356. HIt open. Then Flashing > Firmware Update. Even if the status is NOT FOUND just proceed with steps 6 and 7. It will continue the process.)
6. Click on the [...] button next to Product Code and choose whatever version of your choice. Phoenix will change it automatically during the flashing.
7. Click Refurbish and wait for instructions on the screen.
Note : You cannot downgrade firmware. This will change the product code of your phone as well and also change your lock code. in some cases it is reported that ur phones lock code will change automatically to some other no: and wouldnt even recognize its default lock code too.
